This wedding is a little more unique than the others I have submitted, in that it steers away from the typical classic glam or rustic vibe and more of a quirky, nerdy one (which I loooove)! The theme of today’s wedding feature was largely based on the couple’s mutual love of movies and video games, with a touch of tradition. A gorgeous venue, handmade triforce, a life sized inflatable dinosaur, rupees used as gift notes, and a beautiful cape wedding dress – we are starry-eyed with the brilliance of Susan and Derek’s magical wedding at Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby, BC.

The decline was most apparent where the number of marriages passed from 1,453 in 2019 to 730 in 2020 (-49.8 %). Considering that a large majority of celebrations have been postponed to 2022, we are most likely going to see a record year for the wedding industry in BC, hitting at almost 900 million!
